We highly recommend having the entire property completely prepped, and if it applies, staged prior to us arriving for the shoot. We do our best work when we can just focus on the actual shooting, and any re-arrangements that we choose to make are to get the most out of the shot. In addition to this, if there is a lot of prep work that needs to be done, it could cut down on how much of the property we are able to capture, as we have time limits for our shoots.

If you feel like you’re not going to have everything ready, and you can afford to postpone the shoot a day or two, please let us know. You will get the best result when everything is 100% prepped. Please click here for our prep checklist.

When you book a shoot (by going to our green “Order Now” button in the upper right-hand corner of any page on our website), you will be asked to place a $100 deposit to reserve your appointment. Please see our other FAQ about why we ask for this deposit.

After the shoot takes place, we will apply the $100 deposit toward your overall total, and we will send you an invoice (by email) to pay the balance of the total. This can be paid by credit card. The full amount on the invoice is due PRIOR to receiving any photos, videos, or any other media that we are sending you. You will have to make this payment yourself, as we do not keep any records of credit cards that you used to pay the deposit, for security reasons.

You essentially want everything 100% prepped when your photographer arrives. Think of it like an open house. Anything you wouldn’t want a potential buyer to see should apply for your photo or video shoot as well. Please do NOT assume that we will avoid seeing something in our shots. We shoot with wide lenses, and it may end up appearing in the background or on the edge of the photo. When in doubt whether you should clean something or whether something should be removed, always clean it and always remove it.

Here is a checklist to help you (link below). Please forward this to your clients as well, but PLEASE do not rely on the homeowner to complete everything on the checklist. Please verify for yourself if the home is “shoot ready,” prior to the appointment:

We have a document (linked below) that gives you all of the details regarding permissions and licensing of media that you receive from REWS Media, LLC, but here is a quick version:

Unless otherwise specified, the license that comes with your media gives you (the agent we have a contract with and ONLY you) the right to use that media for the purpose of marketing and listing that specific property. Other than using it for the agent’s own personal marketing on social media and in their own portfolio (which is approved), these are the only ways you can use the media we send. Please do not transfer, give, or sell any media materials we send you to any other 3rd party, as they will need their own licensing to use it legally. If you have any questions about the use of this media, please contact us for more information.

REWS Media, LLC does maintain ownership of all media (unless otherwise specified), and extended licenses can be offered to fit your needs. Just call or email us, and we can discuss the options.

Once you submit a shoot request to us, we will get back to by email with the hour to (1) verify the services you want completed; (2) lock in a day/time that works for you and your client; (3) answer any remaining questions you might have about the shoot. That’s it.

Yes, we can definitely give you a ballpark square footage, based on the measurements, but we cannot guarantee it will be absolutely accurate. For accurate numbers, please refer to your assessor or surveyor. The square footages we offer are for reference only – please do not use these as official numbers for a listing. Our floor plans are mainly for the purpose of documenting the overall plan of the house and offering interior dimensions of spaces.

We ask that all cancellations and reschedules be submitted to us prior to the 24 hours before your appointment time. If you do this (example 2 or 3 days before your shoot), you will NOT have to forfeit your deposit, and we’ll move you to a better day/time for the shoot. If you’re contacting us within 24 hours of the shoot, you will forfeit the shoot deposit, and if it is cancelled or rescheduled either en route to the property or when we are already on scene, you will forfeit the shoot deposit PLUS be billed 30% of the shoot total price.

The deposit is required to reserve an appointment. If any late cancellations or reschedules occur (less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment), you will forfeit the shoot deposit. We do this because we’ve had several instances where agents want us to reserve a spot for them, even though they are not 100% confident that the property will be ready or if the day/time works for them or their clients. Booking a shoot as an agent requires a commitment to uphold the appointment time. It is the only way we can serve all of our clients with the highest quality and customer service.
