We highly recommend having the entire property completely prepped, and if it applies, staged prior to us arriving for the shoot. We do our best work when we can just focus on the actual shooting, and any re-arrangements that we choose to make are to get the most out of the shot. In addition to this, if there is a lot of prep work that needs to be done, it could cut down on how much of the property we are able to capture, as we have time limits for our shoots.

If you feel like you’re not going to have everything ready, and you can afford to postpone the shoot a day or two, please let us know. You will get the best result when everything is 100% prepped. Please click here for our prep checklist.

You essentially want everything 100% prepped when your photographer arrives. Think of it like an open house. Anything you wouldn’t want a potential buyer to see should apply for your photo or video shoot as well. Please do NOT assume that we will avoid seeing something in our shots. We shoot with wide lenses, and it may end up appearing in the background or on the edge of the photo. When in doubt whether you should clean something or whether something should be removed, always clean it and always remove it.

Here is a checklist to help you (link below). Please forward this to your clients as well, but PLEASE do not rely on the homeowner to complete everything on the checklist. Please verify for yourself if the home is “shoot ready,” prior to the appointment:

Yes, we can definitely give you a ballpark square footage, based on the measurements, but we cannot guarantee it will be absolutely accurate. For accurate numbers, please refer to your assessor or surveyor. The square footages we offer are for reference only – please do not use these as official numbers for a listing. Our floor plans are mainly for the purpose of documenting the overall plan of the house and offering interior dimensions of spaces.

We ask that all cancellations and reschedules be submitted to us prior to the 24 hours before your appointment time. If you do this (example 2 or 3 days before your shoot), you will NOT have to forfeit your deposit, and we’ll move you to a better day/time for the shoot. If you’re contacting us within 24 hours of the shoot, you will forfeit the shoot deposit, and if it is cancelled or rescheduled either en route to the property or when we are already on scene, you will forfeit the shoot deposit PLUS be billed 30% of the shoot total price.

The deposit is required to reserve an appointment. If any late cancellations or reschedules occur (less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment), you will forfeit the shoot deposit. We do this because we’ve had several instances where agents want us to reserve a spot for them, even though they are not 100% confident that the property will be ready or if the day/time works for them or their clients. Booking a shoot as an agent requires a commitment to uphold the appointment time. It is the only way we can serve all of our clients with the highest quality and customer service.

In general, we recommend having the property as close to 100% ready as possible. This is always the best approach for the best quality and the quickest turn-around time. If, however, you just can’t get everything moved, or there are touch-ups to the property that don’t get done before we arrive, there are some things we can do to help you out. These quick fixes usually include small marks on the wall, leaves and dirt on exterior shots (especially in pools), and the removal of cords and cables. For larger photoshop work like furniture removal or virtual staging, we can usually also help, but you may incur an additional fee per image.

Our packages are fixed and include large discounts compared to individual service price. In most instances, the extras that you say you don’t really need, are included at no extra cost anyway, so they’re almost like bonuses in terms of the pricing. We do offer custom plans for larger or more intricate jobs, so please contact us for details.

Category: Services

Unless we are already in the area – either photographing yours or another client’s property – we generally do not offer any discounts just to capture a few images. Most of our time is spent driving to and from the property (in most cases this is substantially more time than the actual shoot length), so whether we’re there to get 3 or 15 images, there is a minimum we charge for that work.

Our full-day shoots include this; however it would be an additional charge for any other services. If you have questions regarding which services to do, please email us or give us a call and, if necessary, include any photos or descriptions of the property for reference. Then we can advise the best strategy for your listing.

Photography packages include interior and exterior images on the ground. You can add aerial photos to your order for $200 extra.

Category: Services

Absolutely, we always edit and touch up all of the images that we capture and delivery to our clients. We do NOT deliver materials that haven’t been edited or touched-up.

Category: Services

Yes, we do. We are FAA-certified pilots, operating under 14 Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) part 107. What this essentially means is that we operate under a set of regulations (established by the FAA) to ensure safety and compliance when operating a drone in a commercial capacity. We are also insured – just in case of an incident – although after over 4 years of flying and almost 500 flights (as of 2019), we have no incidents to report. We are experienced and qualified Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) pilots.

Our services are (1) Aerial Photography, which must be purchased separate from a regular photo shoot; and (2) Aerial Video, which can be ordered in 2 ways – the service is included with both our “Full” and “Full Evening” packages (see package details), OR it can be ordered as a separate service.

From time to time (and on an individual basis), we may decide to offer a discount for multiple shoots on the same day – especially if the properties are in close proximity to each other, and the basic amount of work is going to be needed (i.e. not for special requests or extended shoots). For more details call or email us with the specifics.

Category: Services

Generally not. Our Property Websites come as an add-on to our photo or video services. We offer all 3 (photo, video, website) bundled as packages. Click here for details.

Category: Services

Yes, we offer Twilight Photography in two different forms: (1) Virtual Twilight; and (2) In-Person Twilight.

The Virtual Twilight consists of daytime exterior shots that we edit in post-production to appear as though they were taken in the evening. While not as good as the In-Person Twilight (in terms of authenticity), it is a cheaper option and allows for more flexibility with scheduling.

You can’t beat a real In-Person Twilight shot though – in terms of quality and authenticity, so we always recommend this option if quality is important. Also we recommend the In-Person Twilight method if any large view will be part of the shot. While the Virtual Twilight focuses on the house and some landscape lighting directly in front of it, it can’t be used to replicate, for example, an evening view of a valley, with all the tens of thousands of lights. Please keep this in mind when choosing which type of twilight service to order.

Category: Services

Yes, we do. Please contact us for pricing and details (either prior to or after the photoshoot), and we can give you some quotes based on the number of photos you would like to have virtually staged.

Unfortunately, we do not offer any brochures or other print materials. The print source we always use and recommend is MyPrintXpress.

Category: Services

If needed, we can do this for our half-day/full-day shoots, but if you order solo photo or video services as well as one of our packages, it only includes the property itself. “Location shots/footage” is an add-on. Please contact us for more info.

Category: Services

It depends on the available lighting of the home. We always have that kind of gear with us (just in case), but we find that most homes really don’t need it. We use lights and flashes as another tool in our toolbox – to help get the best quality out of an image that is, for example, severely under-lit or would otherwise be too washed out. If you are looking for a photoshoot that uses lights and flashes on every shot (because you’re trying to achieve a certain look), please contact us for pricing and availability.

Time on-scene varies depending on the services we’re providing as well as the size of the property. Usually 15-20 photos can be covered in about 45 minutes, whereas 35 or more can take a couple hours. Our sizzle (60-second) video can be done in about an hour, and our full videos can take up to 2 hours. If the property is very large, or you are purchasing a photo+video package, you may want to budget 3-4 hours for the shoot. Please call or email us to get a more specific time, based on your booking.

Your floor plan will be included in your delivery email in 3 formats: PDF, web-sized jpg, MLS-sized jpg – usually as attachments. For any print uses, please use the PDF version, and the MLS-sized version, as it states, is ready for upload to the MLS without any editing or resizing.

The floor plan will also be added to your property website, and if you have a Premium Property Website, hot spots with links to photos can also be included. This allows user to mouse over each hot spot to reveal the image that was taken from that spot on the floor plan.

Please note that while we can offer a square footage (upon request), we do not recommend using it as an “official” measurement. It is an approximate number, to be used for reference only. REWS Media is not licensed to offer an official measurement and is not responsible for inaccuracies regarding the square footage of any property.

As a general rule, our prices are our prices. Yes, you may find other photographers or companies that offer “similar” services for lower prices, but you have to look at what you are getting overall, including the quality, the turn-around time, the expertise, the customer service, and overall customer experience. Our goal isn’t just to provide great quality media; we are a professional and dependable extension of your team, helping you to reach all of your goals surrounding media. If you just need a cheaper price, that’s fine – there are lots of photographer out there to choose from. But if you’re looking for a great team that is going to go above and beyond – especially for those important clients and listings – you’re going to want a trusted source with the experience and service to get everything done the right way, the first time.

When we are available (and depending on location), we do offer a “Re-shoot” service that includes up to 6 additional images for $100. This is usually done if there have been improvements to the property after the time of our photo shoot. If the number of additional photos exceeds that amount, we can give you a quote over email or over the phone.

Unlike a real In-Person Twilight session, the Virtual Twilight session consists of daytime exterior shots that we edit in post-production to appear as though they were taken in the evening. Simply put, we shoot the property like a normal daytime shoot (no additional time on scene), and we make an evening version out of 2 or 3 of the main exterior images.

While not as good as the In-Person Twilight (in terms of authenticity), it is a cheaper option and allows for more flexibility with scheduling.

The only thing to be mindful of is that this works with a simple house and some basic landscaping. It is NOT a good solution for properties that feature a view, as filling in tens of thousands of lights in a city is just too much to pull off and have it look anywhere near authentic.

We offer next-day delivery standard on all photo shoots, unless otherwise specified.

Most of our services (individual or packages) are very clear about what you get, and each service is charged to you as a separate line item on the invoice.

Our half-day / full-day shoots are designed a little different. They are meant for larger properties or custom jobs, when you need a variety of different services and just want us to do as much of it as we can within a specific time period. Half-day shoots are 4.5 hours on scene; Full-day shoots are 8 hours on scene. In most cases, we recommend these types of shoots when the services are customized or when adding up the services on an invoice individually would normally be more expensive than our half-day/full-day rates.

For more questions about whether this is a good option for your listing, please call or email, and we can help guide you.

Generally, we take about 10-15 minutes (depending on the size of the home) to walk though the property with you and take notes regarding best angles, what to avoid, what to highlight, and then we begin shooting. Let us know exactly what and how you would like everything to be done, and we will incorporate that into the shots during that walk through. Reviewing every shot and directing can take quite a bit of time, so if you feel like this is what you need, please contact us ahead of time, so that we can allot more time for the shoot and give you a quote.

Yes, every video or photo shoot comes with one of two property websites:

(1) Classic Property Website – included at no additional cost when ordering either a photo or a video shoot (SINGLE SERVICE).

(2) Premium Property Website – included with any one of our photo/video packages, included in our half-day / full-day shoots, or if you choose to add a Premium Property Website to any existing single-service job. The add-on is $50. Premium Property Websites have a more modern and sophisticated look and feel, include many styling options, and provide greater functionality for people looking to track traffic and monitor views.

More info about Property Websites.

In general, we do not budget in time to review all of the images at the end of the shoot, but if you have any questions about 1 or 2 critical shots, we can definitely arrange for that. If you need more time, please make arrangements with us prior to the shoot. Because this is extra time on our end, it may result in an additional charge. Ask for details. As for finished materials, we do ask for full payment prior to sending.
